Torayye Waite is joining the Mason Deerfield Chamber staff as a Community Partner Co-op. He is a native Cincinnatian and is currently an Urban Planning student at the University of Cincinnati – College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP). Torayye is excited to develop a greater understanding of the Mason-Deerfield community so that he can contribute to efforts leading to the region’s continued success and development.
Torayye has gained professional experience through internships with Hamilton County as a Development Services Co-op, Cuyahoga County Planning Commission as a Master Planning Intern, and Deerfield Township as a Planning and Development Intern. He decided to pursue studies in Urban Planning so that he could be involved in the overall advancement of communities.
Torayye is passionate about environmental sustainability, supporting equitable community development and living a healthy lifestyle. In his free time, Torayye enjoys attending concerts, exploring cities and hanging out with friends, his siblings and his family’s two dogs.
