It provides an example
Women’s leadership empowers younger women in the business world. When you observe someone in leadership that has similarities, it provides an example and a platform for that person. This empowerment can encourage achievement.
Be a strong role model
It is critical that we have women in leadership positions to continue to be strong role models for younger women. We must pave the way for generations behind us. Women care about different things than men do and therefore tend to drive institutional investments (i.e. children, environment and sustainability).
Women need to be represented
As over 50% of the population, women need their perspectives, interests and issues represented by the leaders who shape their world.
Many foreign industries demand women participation
As the US economy strives to compete in the global market, the roles of minorities (especially) women have become more obvious. The issue is economic development with women leadership at the top. Many foreign industries working with US companies demand women participation.
Women bring different views
We need the perspective and input of a woman vs. a man in the workplace and they provide role models for young women wanting careers. Women bring so many different views and thoughts that can make a great impact on a male dominated world. The different perspectives bring great conversation and ideas into the workplace.
