Fatemeh Hajihosseini
Women Walking West
Fatemeh Hajihosseini serves as Chief of Operations & Development at Women Walking West, where she works with foreign-born women in the community to help them overcome the language, cultural, social, financial, and academic barriers that stand between them and their educational goals. Beyond her direct work with mentees and their mentors, she builds partnerships with other nonprofit organizations to expand the organization's network and strengthen the support available to the women it serves. Alongside a committed Board and a dedicated team of volunteer community members, she works to help immigrant women achieve their educational goals one woman at a time. She is deeply committed to community activism and to helping new immigrants integrate into their communities through education and cultural connection.
Casey Moran
Comet Cupboard
Casey Moran is the Vice President at GE Aerospace responsible for IT Financial Management and Data Analytics. Casey has been in the IT field for over 30 years, including working at Procter & Gamble, HP, and GE.
Casey was born in and raised in Illinois. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Business Administration from Hanover College and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Illinois. She spends her free time with her husband, Bryan and her daughters, Amelia (age 23) and Alexandra (age 17). Amelia is a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army and station at Fort Sill. Alexandra is a senior at MHS and already enjoying her last year of high school.
Casey enjoys volunteering as a leader of her daughter’s Girl Scout Troop, helping with the Comet Cupboard (food pantries located inside of the Mason City Schools), Mason High School After Prom Chair, working on CommUNITY Holiday Help (December Holiday for Mason City School’s food insecure students) and volunteering with Lighthouse Youth Services.
Stephanie Quehl
DOITFORJACK
Stephanie Quehl is a mother of four boys, a grandmother, former educator, and passionate advocate for fentanyl education and prevention.
Stephanie and her husband, Tom, founded The Jack Quehl Foundation (DOITFORJACK) in 2022 following the tragic loss of their 24-year-old son, Jack, to fentanyl poisoning in September 2021. From unimaginable grief came a mission to educate others and help prevent another family from experiencing the same loss.
A former elementary school teacher who spent 20 years at St. Columban School, Stephanie has always been passionate about educating and connecting with others. Today, she uses that experience to advocate for fentanyl awareness among students, parents, educators, businesses, colleges, and communities.
Through DOITFORJACK, Stephanie and her team have spoken to more than 16,000 high school students across more than 27 high schools, while continuing to expand educational programs, community partnerships, student leadership opportunities, and virtual learning resources.
As a mother and grandmother, Stephanie understands the importance of protecting the next generation. She shares Jack’s story openly—not only to honor his life, but to educate families about the dangers of illicit fentanyl, counterfeit pills, and recreational drugs.
Stephanie’s mission is simple: turn grief into purpose, education into action, and conversations into prevention.
